In “We Just Talk!” Danish philosopher Rasmus Ugilt and Dutch artist Jeanne van Heeswijk reflect on the ideas that were produced in their conversations with the Danish public on August 25-28, 2012. Together with a crew of Romanian students, a Norwegian psychologist, and a French social worker they debated economy and public life with the people passing by on Købmagergade in Copenhagen – right next to the post office.
The book reflects on the conversations that took place and on the conditions of economy and public life today in general. It discusses what it means to take part in a public debate, and it asks questions about the financial crisis, debt and power.
The proper addressees of the book were the people passing by at the very same spot in Købmagergade on February 25, 2014.
